Provider Engagement Specialist

About the role

Our model only works if primary care providers actually use it, and providers use what they trust. That trust is built one clinic at a time, by one person who keeps showing up.

You will be in primary care practices across Western New York, sitting with office managers, catching physicians between patients, and turning a program that exists on paper into a referral habit that runs on its own. It is not a desk job and it is not a phone job. If you like being in the room, this is the room.

What you'll own

• Own your practices, end to end. Carry a portfolio from implementation through launch, steady-state, and recovery. The same face, every phase.
• Get providers referring. Most practices have one or two physicians generating nearly all referrals. Reach every provider individually, find what is stopping them, and remove it.
• Run implementations in the field. Lead stakeholder discovery, map how referrals move today, co-design an easier process, and train staff hands-on.
• Turn data into two-minute conversations. Ops builds the scorecards; you walk in and make them mean something.
• Spot trouble early. Notice the staff turnover, the workflow change, the champion who went quiet, and act before the numbers drop.

What we're looking for

• Based in or willing to relocate to Buffalo / Western New York (this role is in practices, not remote)
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, and comfortable starting conversations with people who did not schedule you
• Field or relationship background a plus: provider relations, outside sales, medical device, or practice management (no clinical license required)

This role is not for you if

• You would rather email than walk in
• You get discouraged when people do not respond
• You want to own the spreadsheets and back-office systems (that is a different role on our team)
